Travelling with Sports Gear?

If you love your sport and have travelled before, you will know that airlines have many restrictions when it comes to carrying sporting equipment.

Most airlines will not allow you to check-in surfboards, kayaks or canoes, water skis or hang-gliders. Some airlines allow you to pitch up at the check-in desk with your skis, scuba-diving equipment, bike or golf gear but will charge you hefty additional fees or surcharges.

And in most cases your precious equipment will get loaded with the rest of the passenger baggage, increasing the chances of it being damaged.
